The location was excellent and all descriptions given were accurate so had little to no disappointment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great every morning, simple but exactly what was needed to start the day. After reading many reviews the rooms were exactly as described, we had booked 3 cosy queen rooms and all were clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed for a five night stay. This is a simple hotel which met our needs. Anything that we needed the staff were more than happy to accommodate for from early check in and late check out, luggage hold was fab for our day of departure as we weren't due to leave until the afternoon and when returning to the hotel early for our taxi we were able to stay in the lobby, eat, drink and get ready for our journey home. Really have no complaints.

I liked the room! It wasnt a what you ordered vs what you get situation. It is exactly as it is depicted in the photos. It was clean, the bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a certain damp-smelling smell when you enter, but would only last for a few so I assume it was the soap they used to clean the bathroom. They serve breakfast which isnt something you will find in NY hotels. The staff were really helpful and very quick to respond and cater to your needs. They gave bottled water quite easily, again, this is NYC and bottled water isnt cheap so that was a plus for me! They store luggage for you after you check out and a PLUS PLUS for me was the flexibility to check in earlier and check out later! I would definitely stay here again for SURE!!!

The location of this hotel is perfect, located at the edge of Flatiron District. The subway is nearby and you can walk to most destinations in Midtown in under 40 minutes. We had a room on the 7th floor, with a balcony facing away from the street, which was nice and quiet (for Manhattan anyway). A view of the Chrysler Building was a nice addition :). The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The room, though named "cozy", was actually big enough for the two of us and we had no problem with space even with multiple pieces of luggage. The hotel is not very big, so you can actually enjoy a little peace and solitude after a long day in NYC. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet hotel in a convenient location for a reasonable price.

The staff were some of the friendliest and helpful front desk people I've ever experienced. They consistently met me with a smile, tripped over themselves to get me coffee when the breakfast time was over, repeatedly asked if I needed anything else. The breakfast was simple but included fresh milk for my coffee, fruit and delicious pastries. The room was clean and fairly newly renovated. The staff provided extra amenities when we ran out very quickly and as asked. The location was very central to many sites in the city and only a couple blocks from a train station. Oh, and there's a roof top lounge with great views of the city. So happy to have stumbled upon this gem.

I cannot say it enough times...staff, Staff, STAFF, especially Patrick! If you are looking for a large, luxurious hotel room with breathtaking views, this NOT your hotel. However, if you plan to spend all of your days experiencing NYC, then this has all you need to start (breakfast) and finish (rooftop lounge) your daily adventures. The friendly and helpful staff is what made it "wonderful," especially Patrick! He went above and beyond to help us 1st timers experience NYC and love our stay at the Lex.
